Atisuto, which means ‘Artist’ in Japanese, is based on the back- alley sushi restaurants found in Japan’s big cities, where the bustle of city life and creativity of the cuisine combine, creating a fast-paced and unique atmosphere.
With original Japanese art and graffiti sprawling the walls, and a modern funky interior design, Atisuto is the place to catch up with friends and colleagues and relax in a casual, yet chic environment.
Chef Aijiro has used his traditional Japanese technique and blended it with modern influences to create a delicious menu, focused on sushi, sashimi, robata grill, yakitori, udon and ramen soups, with all dishes prepared fresh on a daily basis. The busy open sushi counter and robatta grill give guests the chance to see the creative Japanese chef and his team hard at work and admire the art behind this exceptional cuisine.
Atisuto will show guests the influence Japanese creativity has on its culture and cuisine by offering a fresh and unique menu in an art-inspired environment. In addition to the artistic environment, the service is based on creating loyalty with our guests by recognising them, remembering their favourite drinks and connecting with them socially, every time they step through the door.
The interiors of the restaurant are unique. The space was inspired by avant-garde artists obsessed with Japanese Culture who entered the industrial space and expressed themselves freely, painting directly on the walls and floors. Up-cycled materials salvaged from local warehouses and yards, such as rusty metal and gnarled wood, were used in the fit out and design of Atisuto. Everything at the restaurant is based on sustainability and the importance of using locally sourced, environmentally friendly materials. From the furniture and general fit out, to the food used in the kitchen, wherever possible products were sourced from local UAE suppliers and companies.
